It's been a while

I had my black hair extensions on today.
Splendid mixed hair color :>





Also, I met up with Joel Conceicao for movie.
Both our lessons got canceled!
We caught "The Losers", which is...not very nice i.m.o
Nice effects and great shots but the story plot just ain't working out.
The jokes are also too cliche, almost expected and not funny.
The scenes are too choppy too, almost a bit fast-moving.

I think ever since we got into FMS, we start to have a different level of movie experience.
We're noticing all the flaws and appreciating the beauty of movie making.
Don't know whether it's a good thing or not?

Maybe sometime it's best to be ignorant.
Then probably I wouldn't give The Losers such a bad rating.

The Praise Culture

A simple praise or compliment can make someone's day.
Don't hesitate to say "Thank you, you're so nice" to someone.

Words are easy, it won't cost you anything.
You may never know if someone had a bad day at work,
a simple compliment from you can lift their spirits up.

Y'know Singaporeans are not fond of complimenting each other.
I wonder why?
In western culture they throw in "awesome", "fab", "great" into every sentence.
Here, it's like it hurts to even say "good morning" to a bus uncle.

Just recently, I read a message from a friend I met during work.

He travels a lot for business & there's once when he met Anne hathaway (one of my fav movie star) and other celebrities in the hotel he's booked in.

& I tweeted about how lucky he is to meet them...
He replied;


Though I know I'm far cry ugly if compared with Anne hathaway,
but it's still feel nice to receive a compliment!

So thanks a lot Nick!



Morale of the post:
Don't hesitate to make someone's day!
Say "Good morning" to the bus uncle who drive you to work/school everyday.
Say "Thankyou" to the auntie who serve you lunch.
& Say "I love you" to your parents while wishing them "Goodnight".

After much procrastination I decided to post up some pics from the hair show.

Sunday 9th may

A group of my friends modeled for a tony&guy hair show.
It's mainly for Bryan's new-open hair salon at bugis, called Essensuals.
Most of the hair stylist there are experienced and once under T&G.
The hair show is basically a show case of their masterpiece (US!)



For that 10min of catwalk, we spend hours preparing.
This is my ultra-boomz hair!

I swear I could have stolen all the limelight!
Just because my big hair will block all the other model's face, haha.







During the show we treat our selves champagne and beer.
& I'm so worried I'm turning into an alcoholic.
Because I actually do enjoy alcohol nowadays.

Drank a can before the catwalk starts.
It calms me down when I'm nervous and makes me more...me






After much preparation, we walked to the venue.
WALKED! yeah, no grand limousine to pick us up like superstars of the night.
Many heads turn as we walk.
Prolly because we look like some mafia gang haha.

It was a great night after all!

Furmuse, Cheque

Oh shiat i'm losing the motivation to blog, seriously :(

A lot of people are shocked at my boomz hair, but not to worry that's not my permanent hair.

Today I went to find Boonchew at his workplace (cine/furmuse)

I felt like some sua gu foreigner because I don't even know the way to cine.
That's right, I'm that bad at road directions.
& I alighted at Orchard instead of Sommerset!
Called YY only to realize I've been going the wrong direction.

So I have this fear that I'll get lost again, I stalked a potential-go-to-cine guy.
While I'm stalking that dude, a girl from modeling agency is stalking me too.
So in the end it is the girl who brought me to cine, indirectly.

Wanted to have lunch with Chew but we ended up talking.
Customer thought I'm one of the sales assistant there, haha.

& we realize we have the same aspiration - to be air steward/stewardess!
What more, we plan to go BKK during my August holiday (tgt with D).
It's gonna be an exciting shopping/business trip.

Skipped lunch, went to meet YY at Cityhall.
We went to collect our pay at effing Eunos.
The place is so ulu, we walk in circles just to find the place!

So sweaty and tired.
but it's worth it when I got the pay (double as expected).

AIM FOR THE MONTH: DO NOT SPEND A SINGLE CENT ON THINGS THAT ARE NOT NEEDED, SAVE SAVE SAVE FOR THE BK TRIP!

overview/ sry for the bad updates!

didn't really have the time for blogging :(
I took up a new job at suntec as a server for a ramen store.

Last Fri I get to catch iron man 2 with John.
It was freakin awesome! Maybe a bit bias because he's my favorite superhero.
Also we hung out at many different places, looking for m's present.

In the end i bought macaroons for her as part of her present!
(I gave her a CD with vid I made, River island wallet and macaroons)

Then J came my hse and we played monopoly cards.
Had trouble figuring out the game at first, but it was fun!

Next up Sat and Sun, I've been working at the Ramen store.
I like the job, it's not tough but not too slack.
It keeps me busy, in a good way (:

After work, nov and I went on a present hunting trip for nov.
In the end we got a River island wallet for M. (as i mention above)

Went her house to pass her the presents and also for dinner!

I pawed the smooth glass surface that framed the king
My tiny heart fluttered when he did the same
Behind the glass resides the feline king
Victorious and prideful
He purred as he licked the sharp trimmed claws
Swishing his tail from side to side
There I stand basking in glory and pride
As still as a statue, the mirror reflects the same

I shook as the collar on my neck tightens
The cold locks send shivers down my spine
I meowed and growled in defense
